The West African region has had its huge share of wars and conflicts. Most of the countries in this region have seen civil wars, as well as ethnic and religious conflicts, predominantly due to bad governance, corruption, violent and extremist forces, amongst other things.
This has left several million living in devastating poverty and vulnerable conditions, including millions of them displaced from their homes and many living in refugee camps, referred to as Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps.
Restore Mission strongly feels commissioned to go to such places to bring hope and restoration to these victims of wars and conflicts. With the West African region at large in scope, our current project focuses on the most-populous West African nation, Nigeria.
Our approach at Restore Mission is that of a total transformation. We love to see the trajectory changed for these families so that they can become empowered to effect positive change in their world. With a particular focus on the children, we believe that a fundamental tool towards transformation is education, both intellectually and morally.
Restore Mission is working to restore hope to these families by providing education to these vulnerable children and economic empowerment training to the adults. We are also working to relieve poverty in the immediate through our school lunch program for the kids and general humanitarian supplies while extending the message of salvation.
A very important part of our work is the gospel of Christ. We strongly believe that it is only through the power of the gospel that true transformation can be achieved. More importantly, the scripture says, “for what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (Mark 8:36 NKJV).
You can help by partnering with Restore Mission with your donations. Let us work together to make a difference. Your gift will help us educate these children and put them on the path of a promising future. Your gift will help us feed the hungry, both children and adults. Your gift will help us empower families economically. And you in turn will be blessed for it.
According to Proverbs, “one person gives freely, yet gains even more, a generous person will prosper; whoever
refreshes others will be refreshed.” – Proverbs 11:24 & 25.
Also, in the words of Robert Ingersoll, “We rise by lifting others”.
Will you join us to provide an enabling learning environment for hundreds of children currently enrolled in our learning program but learning under trees?
“A gift of $33.33 will provide a conducive learning space for a child. An additional onetime gift of $10 will make a set of chairs and desks for a child.”
Will you join us to provide an enabling learning environment for hundreds of children currently enrolled in our school program? As there are no classrooms, these kids currently learn under trees and in other open spaces while sitting on the floor. In addition to all the distractions that come with open space learning, classes are often disrupted by rain, especially during the rainy season.
A 6-classroom learning shelter to accommodate 300 children is estimated to cost about $10,000.
Donate NowHelp educate thousands of internally displaced children living in extreme poverty across several IDP camps in Benue State, Nigeria.
“A gift of $25 a month will educate 12 children for one school year”
Education is not a luxury, but a necessity. It is a fundamental human right. Children are the future of the world. Their knowledge and resourcefulness will keep our world flourishing.
Donate NowYour gift can help to economically empower a family by training the adults in economically viable trades.
“You can help empower young and capable people from these helpless families to start their own businesses. Your donation will help fund a dream and free people from poverty.”
The Skill Acquisition Project is an effort dedicated to helping the IDPs in Benue State, Nigeria, become self-sufficient. The goal is to create a permanent income source for people who are displaced by incessant attacks from armed Fulani herdsmen in their host communities, so they can support themselves and their dependents.
All these internally displaced people have a story and lost dreams, and they need your help. They need you to help them start a business or a new career so they can support themselves and their families. They want to use their skills to create something of value and contribute to their community.
As a donor, you will help us finance different skills that our beneficiaries can take outside the camps.
Donate NowGive a meal a day to a hungry child. No effective learning can be achieved on empty stomach.
“A gift of $35 a month will provide school lunch for 4 children for a month”
The School Lunch Project is a drive to provide meals for underprivileged children who have been internally displaced by incessant and violent attacks from armed Fulani herdsmen in Benue State, Nigeria. Providing a nutritional meal to these hungry kids for every school day will enable effective learning and assimilation as no reasonable learning can happen on an empty stomach.
Our goal is to empower these children to live productive lives and reach their dreams. By educating them and ensuring effective learning without any distraction due to hunger, we believe we can help them break the cycle of poverty and restore lost hope to these communities.
One of our core objectives is to relieve poverty by solving the immediate hunger problem while working towards total transformation. Your donation can help us turn that vision into reality.
